Lakshman Jhula Bridge
Lakshman Jhula Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks of Rishikesh, located on the northernmost past of town. This iron suspension bridge which crosses the river Ganges, was constructed in 1939 and offers amazing views of the surroundings.
Rishikesh is packed with numerous monkeys cohabiting peacefully with the locals. One of their favourite spot is the entrance tower of the Lakshman Jhula Bridge, where old and young hangout and observe the street action.
Ram Jhula Bridge
Ram Jhula, crossing the Ganges River, is the second famous pedestrian bridge in Rishikesh. It is located to the South of the Lakshman Jhula Bridge and was built in the 1980s.
The Trayambakeshwar is perhaps the most iconic temple in Rishikesh. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is set in a beautiful 13 floors high building with its unique orange colour. It is strategically located on the banks of the river Ganges at the eastern end of the Lakshman Jhula Bridge.
The Triveni Ghat, located next to the Rishikesh beach and the Lakshman Jhula Bridge is a well known bathing Ghat within the bank of the river Ganges.
