Jerash: World’s Largest Roman ruins

Discover Jerash a city in northern Jordan best known for its Roman ruins within the archaeological site.  It is home to remains dating back to the 3rd century BC when it was part of the Greek Decapolis cities.  It strategic location, at the crossroads of the spice trade route, enable the city to prosper during the Roman area where most of the sights were built including the Forum, Cardo colonnaded street, the Agora, Nymphaeum and the Artemis Temple. Today it has become one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions, second only to Petra, and should definitely be on your list when visiting Jordan.
